Another Good Result For The St. Colmans U-12 Footballers At Home Against Saval.

St. Colmans put the first score the board with a pointed free kick from Aiden McGuiness. Within the first 5 minutes we had another 3 scoring opportunites but unfortunately all 3 were put wide. Six minutes into the game and Reece scored a 45m free from the ground, followed by another 45 from the ground in the 9th min. Frank McCartan came bursting forward to put another point on the score board followed by a 12th minute point from Jamie. Saval did not produce a score until the 17th minute when they scored their first point which came from a penalty. They went on to score again in the 18th and 23rd min. Goal keeper Ben McArdle pulled off some excellent saves in the first half. Saval were awarded a 45m free in the 25th minute which came off the cross bar and was caught by Ryan and cleared away on the blow of the half time whistle. This was a low scoring first half.

In the Second Half Saval came out with a bit more grit and determination. They shot 2 wides in the first 3 minutes and then scored a goal in the 4th minute to put them one point in front. A great display of team work once again from our strong back line worked the ball up to the full forward position to John McAtamney, but unfortunately it just veared wide of the upright. Our next score (GOAL) came from Dylan in the 7th min and nothing was scored again until the 18th min by John McAtamney. Another superb 45m free kick was pointed by sharp shooter Reece. With no more scoring from Saval we were able to take hold of the final quarter of the game and score another 2 points from play and claim another well deserved victory.
