Youth Committee Quiz

The Youth Committee Quiz took place last Saturday night. About 50 people attended the event in Ballyvarley Hall and seven teams entered the competition. The teams were Dumbledore’s Army, The Ream Team, The Big Five, We Hate Harry Potter, Rosevale Tops, The Sparkles and 3 Stooges Plus One. 'Dumbledore’s Army' came out on top in the battle against 'We Hate Harry Potter' but the top of the class was ‘3 Stooges Plus One’ who romped home by 3 on 57 points. The winning team can be seen in the attached photo with their prizes. Very little separated second from fifth with ‘The Ream Team’ coming in second place on 54 points, followed by ‘Rosevale Tops’ on 53, ‘The Sparkles’ on 51 and ‘The Big Five’ on 50. The competition was stiff but some challenging questions separated the wood from the chaff and the men from the boys. I suspect that no one will ever forget what and where ‘Arthur’s Seat’ is. A good night was had by all and thanks to everyone who supported the quiz. If there is sufficient demand another could be run later in the year. Thanks to the Youth Committee for their time and effort in organising the event.
