John Fitzpatrick Memorial Shield Champions
04 November 2025
Our U14 boys travelled to St. Michael’s today for the John Fitzpatrick Memorial Shield, and what a brilliant way to sign off the season — with a well-deserved victory!
Leading 1-09 to 1-06 at half time, the lads were unbelievable in the second half. Every player showed guts, determination, and teamwork right to the final whistle. From the defenders who never gave their markers an inch, to the forwards who took some superb scores — it was a complete team performance.
Goals from Callum McC (2), Dan, and Shea sealed the win, as the lads ran out 4-11 to 1-08 winners!
A special mention to Callum Quinn, who stepped into nets in Daniel’s absence and did an excellent job — well done!
Every one of the 17 lads played their part today and can be extremely proud of themselves. The coaches are bursting with pride after a tremendous season from start to finish.
It was a fitting end as our captain Louis Lennon lifted the shield in his final game for the U14s — a great leader and credit to himself, his teammates, and parents all year.
A huge thank you to Brian Campbell from EUROSPAR, who once again showed his fantastic support for local clubs by sponsoring the medals for the day. Your continued generosity and community spirit are greatly appreciated — thank you, Brian!
A massive thank you to everyone for their effort and commitment throughout the season.
Well done lads — UP THE DERG!
