U-15 FOOTBALL

25 June 2023

Saul 0-3 v 4-13 St Patrick’s

Another great win for St Patrick’s and probably our best performance of the year to date.
There was a lot at on the line before throw in, as there was only one place and point separating the teams in Division 2 in the league.
The two teams went toe to toe early on,  but St Patrick’s soon found their rhythm and started to play great possession football, only thing missing was a goal, but the lads were starting to pile the pressure on the hosts.

Half time score;
Saul 0-2 v 0-7 St Patrick’s

In the second half the lads continued playing fast flowing football and the goals came.
Conor (joint captain) playing centre half forward, led by example and although not on the score sheet himself he was integral in setting up scores and defending from the front. Our backs were also very impressive (Harry, James, Charlie, Eoghan) and gave Saul no space and no time on the ball. Forwards (Dylan and Brendan) were part of a great St Patrick’s forward line with Brendan getting the last goal of the game.

Well done lads, the boys in this amalgamation are doing Aghaderg GFC Ballyvarley HC and Clann na Banna CLG proud and their development this year has been a joy to behold.

Final score;
Saul 0-3 v 4-13 St Patrick’s

Next up, Tullylish in Aghaderg.
