Aghaderg U-12 girls put in an excellent performance against Clann na Banna at home on Wednesday evening winning on a scoreline of 2-14 to 0-4.
The foundation for the victory was laid by a strong defensive display, with the home team keeping a clean sheet for the 2nd week in a row. The girls started tentatively and were behind at the first water break on a score of 0-3 to 0-2, despite having the majority of possession. On the resumption, the Aghaderg girls caught fire, primarily due to great teamwork, complimented by excellent finishing and went in at the short whistle ahead by 8 points.

On the resumption, the girls continued with their high tempo performance and only allowed their neighbours to tag on a further point during the second half. Some fantastic scores resulted from excellent passing movements throughout this period. Aghaderg scored a further 1-6 in the second half to stretch the winning margin to 14 points. This was an excellent team performance, with all girls contributing exceptionally well to a fully deserved victory.
