Aghaderg’s U-15 Footballers were all fired up for this encounter on home soil and in a blistering start they hit the back of the net four times in the opening minutes to demoralise the visitors. It looked like it would be one way traffic in those opening moments, but as Aghaderg took their foot off the gas, Darragh conjured up three goals of their own and the Reds had to reapply themselves again and picked off some neat points to lead by 4-8 to 3-1 at half time.
There was no lethargy about the Reds in the second period and in a dominant performance they were good value for a comfortable 6-16 to 4-2 win.
