Aghaderg’s
U-16 Camogie team got their league campaign off to a winning start with
an impressive display against a strong Mayobridge side. However, it took
a while to shake off the lockdown jitters and in a shaky start they
found themselves two goals in arrears before they even realised the game
had started. Little by little they found their touch and with a display
of great fighting spirit, they pulled back the deficit, and at half time they led by 3.3 to 3.2.
What
a contrast we had in the second period as Aghaderg took almost complete
control and in a power-packed team display they moved up a few gears
and roared on to a stunning 18 point victory.
